Beloved Sims Character Joins The Sims 4

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 11,2025

Attention, all you dedicated Sims enthusiasts! Brace yourselves because the notorious Burglar is making a grand return to The Sims 4 with the latest update. This update, rolling out on both PC and console, marks the comeback of the infamous Robin Banks, so it's high time to secure your valuables. She typically prowls at night, targeting homes when everyone's tucked in bed, but don't let your guard down—she's been known to try her luck even when Sims are wide awake. Stay vigilant!

To fend off this cunning thief, your Sims can rely on the trusty burglar alarm. If Robin Banks triggers it, rest assured, the police will swoop in promptly to apprehend her and retrieve your stolen goods. But don't despair if you don't have an alarm; you can still call the police, just make sure you're quick on the draw. Alternatively, if you fancy a bit of vigilante justice, take matters into your own hands. It's all up to you.

While burglar events are designed to be rare, if you crave more chaos, simply activate the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc to increase your chances of encountering Robin Banks.

"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," The Sims' team shared. "We want to give a special shout-out to our entire team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just here to rob your Sims’ houses—she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Even though The Sims 4 is now 10 years old—and the series itself celebrates 25 years—it's still going strong. Last year, it welcomed over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earning report from the end of last year, The Sims 4 took four years to reach 20 million unique players when it was a premium game. However, after going free-to-play in 2022, it saw an incredible surge of 31 million new players right out of the gate, reaching a total of 85 million players as of May 2024. And for those wondering about the future, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5... Plum!
