Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8

Larian Studios announced on Steam that a stress test for Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 will begin in January. This test will be available on PC via Steam, and on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Mac and GOG users will not be included in this test. Registration is currently open.

Larian plans to thoroughly test Patch 8 for bugs and gameplay issues before its official release. They're particularly interested in player feedback on cross-play functionality, stating that implementing it in a game as large as Baldur's Gate 3 has presented significant challenges. Players are encouraged to register and test cross-play, either with friends or by joining groups on the Larian Studios Discord server.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update for Baldur's Gate 3, Larian reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the game's modding community. Further updates are planned, focusing on expanding modding capabilities to enhance player storytelling options. Since the release of official modding tools in September, players have already downloaded over 70 million modules and uploaded over 3,000 custom mods.
