Robbie Daymond Joins Assassin's Creed Shadows as New Ally Rufino

Author:Kristen Update:Aug 07,2025

Robbie Daymond, known from Critical Role, will lend his voice to Assassin's Creed Shadows next week, portraying a recruitable ally for Yasuke and Naoe.

Daymond voices Rufino, a character he crafted for a promotional Assassin's Creed Shadows one-shot. Rufino sports a Portuguese-style doublet and a striking moustache.

Rufino joins the game as a recruitable ally in the upcoming update on Wednesday, June 25. This free story content follows a prior Dead by Daylight crossover mission.

Shadows' additional story updates have so far offered about 20 minutes of gameplay each. As one of only six recruitable allies, Rufino could leave a lasting impression.

Rufino's role remains undefined. Can players summon him in combat, as with other allies? Is a romance option possible, like with others? Or will he merely linger at the hideout? Answers arrive next week.

Ubisoft’s June update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows also brings new difficulty levels, immersive gameplay options, and an open-world alarm system to heighten tension. Players can now toggle headgear visibility in cutscenes, a highly requested feature.

Looking ahead, Ubisoft is developing a New Game Plus mode and more story content, including additional crossovers. Before 2025 ends, Shadows’ first major expansion, Claws of Awaji, will extend the story with a new Japanese region to explore.
