Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Global Release Schedule Revealed

Ubisoft has officially announced the global release times for *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, marking a significant departure from the series' past and Ubisoft's usual practices by setting a unified, actual release date. Notably, there is no option for early access through additional payment, ensuring a fair launch for all players.

For console gamers, *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S at 12am local time on March 20. PC gamers, however, should note the different release schedules depending on the platform: Steam and Ubisoft’s own Ubi Connect have varying times.

Pre-load is already available across all platforms, including Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC, allowing players to prepare for the game's launch.

The stakes are high for *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* following a series of delays and the underwhelming sales of last year's *Star Wars Outlaws*. Ubisoft has faced challenges with high-profile flops, layoffs, studio closures, and game cancellations leading up to this release, adding pressure on *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* to perform well.

IGN’s review of *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* gave it an 8/10, praising the game for refining its open-world systems: “By sharpening the edges of its existing systems, *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* creates one of the best versions of the open-world style it’s been honing for the last decade.”
