Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to unveil its highly anticipated Celestial Guardians expansion this month, launching globally on April 30th, 2025. Step into the vibrant Alola region and experience the mystical energy of the Sun and Moon as you explore a fresh chapter in the digital card world.

What’s New in the Pokémon TCG Pocket Celestial Guardians Expansion?

The Celestial Guardians expansion introduces two brand-new digital booster packs, spotlighting the legendary duo Solgaleo and Lunala. Joining them are fan-favorite characters like Lillie and other beloved faces from the Alola era.

For collectors, this update is a major milestone. The expansion features over 200 new cards, including powerful Pokémon ex variants such as Solgaleo ex and Lunala ex. The Alolan starter trio—Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio—are also making their long-awaited debut in the Pokémon TCG Pocket app, giving players more variety and strategy options than ever.

Starting May 1st, show off your collection with a brand-new Rowlet-themed binder cover and display board. It’s the perfect way to celebrate your journey through the Alola region.

What Events Are Coming?

Mark your calendars: from April 30th at 06:00 a.m. UTC to May 13th at 05:59 a.m. UTC, dive into special solo battles to earn exciting promo cards, including the mighty Rayquaza ex.

Alongside the battles, special missions will go live on April 30th and remain available until May 29th at 05:59 a.m. UTC. Complete these challenges to unlock an alternate version of Rayquaza ex, exclusive accessories, and other in-game rewards.

Additionally, the Pokémon TCG Pocket Half-Year Celebration kicks off on April 29th at 11:00 p.m. PDT, just hours before the expansion drops. From April 30th to May 12th, solo battles will reward players with Promo Pack A Series Vol. 7 boosters, featuring the powerful Rayquaza ex promo card. The event missions will continue through May 28th.
