Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Now Available from $2,399

Author:Kristen Update:May 22,2025

Starting today, Dell is offering a fantastic deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99 shipped. This price point represents one of the best values you'll find for an RTX 5080 prebuilt system, especially considering the steady price increases from other brands since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the next cheapest option with an RTX 5080 GPU is over $4,000, making this deal even more attractive. Attempting to find a standalone RTX 5080 GPU for a DIY build might cost you as much as this entire system.

Update: Like other manufacturers, Dell has been affected by tariffs. Given the ongoing stock issues with Blackwell cards, prices for Alienware gaming desktops with RTX 50 series GPUs are anticipated to rise in the near future.

$2,399.99 at Alienware

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, paired with the GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The current-gen Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU reaches a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, boasting 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's efficiently cooled by a robust 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is supported by a high-capacity 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is one of three newly released Blackwell graphics cards, which are notoriously hard to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes that "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be the upgrade you need – it doesn't offer a significant performance leap over the RTX 4080, though the additional frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do enhance gameplay in supported titles. However, for gamers looking to upgrade from an older GPU, the RTX 5080 delivers a substantial performance boost, particularly if you're keen on Nvidia's AI enhancements."

RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere

The initial wave of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within the first hour of preorders. The highest-end models, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, were the first to launch, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Unfortunately, the same scarcity applies to prebuilt gaming PCs featuring these new GPUs. Systems listed at launch are now either out of stock, have increased in price, or are facing extended delivery delays.
