Earlier this year, Dell revitalized the iconic Alienware Area-51 series of prebuilt gaming PCs. Initially, buyers were limited to a single graphics card option—the RTX 5080. However, the latest update now allows you to equip your PC with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, recognized as the most powerful graphics card available today. Excitingly, one of the preconfigured systems featuring this beast of a GPU is currently on sale.

It's powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor, complemented by 32GB of DDR5-6400MHz RAM and 2TB SSD storage. The Core Ultra 9 285K represents Intel's cutting-edge flagship CPU, delivering exceptional performance for both gaming and professional workloads. While it doesn't outpace the i9-14900K as much as some hoped, it remains Intel's top all-around CPU. A robust 360mm all-in-one liquid cooler manages the processor's heat, and a 1,500W Platinum power supply ensures the system's stability.

New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis

Dell introduced the refreshed Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. While the chassis retains the essence of the 2024 R16 model, it features enhanced aesthetics and cooling systems, along with updated internal components. The I/O panel has been repositioned to the top of the case for improved access, and the tempered glass side panel now extends across the entire side, eliminating the need for side panel vents. Air intakes are strategically placed at the bottom and front of the case to promote a positive airflow design, which helps keep the system dust-free. Inside, you'll find a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more potent power supply designed to support the latest generation of CPUs and GPUs.

The RTX 5090 Is the Most Powerful Graphics Card Ever

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 has set a new standard as the most powerful consumer GPU on the market. Nvidia's focus on software enhancements, AI capabilities, and DLSS 4 technology significantly boosts gameplay performance. In terms of raw raster performance, the 5090 offers a 25%-30% improvement over the RTX 4090. It also comes with 32GB of faster GDDR7 VRAM compared to the 4090's 24GB GDDR6. Due to high demand, the RTX 5090 is hard to find at its retail price and often sells for between $3,500 and $4,000 on eBay.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 FE Review by Jackie Thomas**

"The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 has claimed the title of the most powerful GPU from the RTX 4090, though the generational leap is modest compared to previous releases. In traditional gaming scenarios without AI enhancements, the performance increase is the smallest we've seen in recent years. However, when utilizing DLSS 4 in supported games, the performance boost is substantial—albeit with 75% of the frames being AI-generated."
