Alan Wake 2 Surpasses 2 Million Sales Milestone

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 24,2025

Alan Wake 2 surpasses 2 million global sales, exceeding initial projections. This figure significantly surpasses the 1.3 million units sold between October 2023 and March 2024, a period where Remedy Entertainment celebrated it as their fastest-selling title.

Remedy's recent financial report to shareholders highlights this achievement, attributing the success to the game's strong performance and the subsequent release of the Lake House expansion and the Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition. The milestone signifies the game has reached profitability, generating royalties after recouping development and marketing expenses.

The studio also provided updates on upcoming projects: Control 2, a collaboration with Annapurna Interactive, is nearing completion of its pre-production phase and will enter full production by late February 2025. Similarly, the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake is progressing steadily in full production.
