Following a month-long nomination period and another month of intense voting, the Pocket Gamer Awards 2024 winners have been revealed.

It’s been an extraordinary journey, and the list of winners highlights how far the mobile gaming industry has evolved since our inaugural awards in 2010, where readers' choice was limited to just one category.

I’ve had the privilege of witnessing this entire process unfold since we launched the nomination phase in early October, and it’s been nothing short of remarkable. However, it’s not just about the sheer volume of votes we received (because yes, we did receive plenty); it’s also about the fact that this feels like the first year where mobile gamers can genuinely celebrate a winners list that authentically represents the broader industry.

From some of the biggest names in the world—like NetEase, with its Sony-backed IP Destiny, Tencent-backed Supercell, and Scopely—to established publishers such as Konami and Bandai Namco, the list also shines a light on indie darlings like Rusty Lake and Emoak. Additionally, it’s been an exceptional year for ported games. Just as PC often sees adaptations of beloved mobile classics, we witnessed numerous fantastic experiences making their way back to mobile this year, which is reflected in the three outstanding port titles that took home awards.
