The House of the Dead 2: Remake - A Classic Returns in Spring 2025

Get ready for a nostalgic blast from the past! Forever Entertainment and MegaPixel Studio are bringing back the iconic 1998 arcade horror rail shooter, The House of the Dead 2, with a complete remake launching on all major platforms in Spring 2025.

This revamped version promises a thrilling update to the original's gory zombie action. Expect significantly enhanced visuals, new environments to explore, and exciting gameplay options including a highly anticipated co-op mode. The original House of the Dead 2, a standout FPS horror title in its time, offered a unique gameplay experience distinct from contemporaries like Resident Evil, and this remake aims to capture that magic while enhancing it for modern players.

The recently released announcement trailer showcases the game's modernized graphics and remastered soundtrack. Players will once again step into the shoes of a secret agent battling hordes of undead to prevent a catastrophic outbreak. Beyond the core gameplay, the remake will feature multiple game modes (including Classic Campaign and Boss Mode), branching pathways, and multiple endings, adding significant replayability.

Platforms and Features:

The House of the Dead 2: Remake will be available on Nintendo Switch, PC (GOG and Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game will retain the high-octane music, over-the-top violence, and combo counters that defined the original arcade experience, but now with polished modern visuals and an improved heads-up display (HUD).

The revival of classic horror titles continues, following successful remakes of Resident Evil and the Clock Tower remaster. Fans of zombie horror and retro gaming should eagerly anticipate The House of the Dead 2: Remake and other exciting revivals on the horizon.
