Application Description:

Experience Minnesota Whist, a unique no-trump partnership card game, now available on your smartphone or tablet! Enjoy free gameplay, detailed statistics tracking, and challenging AI opponents.

Minnesota Whist, a popular variant in Minnesota and South Dakota, distinguishes itself from other Whist games by omitting trumps. The objective shifts based on the bid: "high bids" aim for seven or more tricks, while "low bids" target six or fewer.

This simple yet strategic game is perfect for honing your card skills. Develop your tactical thinking and teamwork in fast-paced, engaging matches against your AI partner. Master trick-taking strategies and progressively increase the difficulty to a challenging "hard" mode.

Victory is achieved by collaborating with your AI partner to outmaneuver opponents and be the first team to reach the winning trick target (either 7 or 13). Track your overall and session statistics to monitor your progress and improvement.

Customize Your Game:

  • Set your preferred win target.
  • Enable or disable the "set bonus."
  • Select easy, medium, or hard difficulty levels.
  • Choose between normal and fast gameplay speeds.
  • Play in landscape or portrait mode.
  • Toggle single-click play.
  • Sort cards in ascending or descending order.
  • Replay hands from the play or bid phase.
  • Review previous hands played during the round.

Personalize your gaming experience further with customizable color themes and card decks.

Quickfire Rules:

After a four-player deal, each player bids "high" (black card) or "low" (red card). Bid cards are revealed sequentially, starting to the dealer's left. The first black card played determines a "high" round (teams strive for maximum tricks). If all bids are red, it's a "low" round (teams aim for minimal tricks).

In high bids, the player to the right of the "granding" player leads; in low bids, it's the player to the dealer's left. Players follow suit if possible; otherwise, any card can be played. The highest card of the led suit wins the trick. The trick winner leads the next trick.

Scoring: In high bids, the granding team earns a point per trick exceeding six. If they fail to reach seven tricks, the opposing team scores 1 or 2 points per trick over six (depending on the "set bonus"). In low bids, teams earn a point per trick below seven.
