Fireboy and Watergirl is a beloved two-player game that captivates children among a variety of online and flash games. The duo finds themselves in mysterious temples, working together to solve puzzles and escape. You can play alone, switching between characters, or team up with a friend or sibling for a more engaging experience. Don't get confused—while some might call it Waterboy and Firegirl or Child of Water and Child of Fire, the real names are Fireboy and Watergirl!

In each temple, the boy and girl must navigate through fire and water. Fireboy can safely walk through lava but must avoid water, while Watergirl can pass through water but should steer clear of lava. Both must watch out for spikes. The objective is to reach the doors at each screen, with Fireboy heading to the red-marked door and Watergirl to the blue one. Collect diamonds that match your character's color along the way. Speed is key to achieving higher scores and rankings.

To solve each puzzle, you'll need to step on buttons to activate lifts, push boxes and bricks to climb, and flip switches. Beyond just running and jumping, teamwork is essential. One character may need to hold down a switch or platform to help the other progress, and then you'll need to reunite them. Some levels challenge you to race through as quickly as possible, others require simultaneous movement of both heroes, and some demand collecting special items before exiting.
