Application Description:

This app offers three two-player card games: Four Cards Golf, Six Cards Golf, and Scat, selectable via the in-app settings.

Four Cards Golf Rules:

The objective, like in golf, is to achieve the lowest score. The game comprises nine rounds. Each round begins with each player receiving four face-down cards. Remaining cards form a draw pile, with one card placed face-up in a discard pile.

Players initially peek at their two closest cards (but only once!), keeping them hidden from their opponent. These cards cannot be viewed again until discarding or scoring.

On a turn, a player draws from either the draw pile (replacing a hidden card without viewing it, then discarding the replaced card face-up) or the discard pile (using the face-up card to replace a card in their layout). Discarding a drawn card without replacing a card is also permitted. Players can choose to “knock,” ending their turn and the round.

Scoring:

Pairs (same value) in a row or column: 0 points
Jokers: -2 points
Kings: 0 points
Queens & Jacks: 10 points
Other cards: face value
Four of a kind: -6 points

Six Cards Golf Rules:

This two-player game also aims for the lowest score over nine rounds. Each player starts with six face-down cards; the remainder forms the draw pile, with one card face-up in the discard pile.

Players initially reveal two cards. They reduce their score by swapping cards for lower-value ones or creating pairs in columns.

Turns involve drawing a card from either pile. The drawn card is either swapped for one of the player's face-down cards (leaving the swapped card face-up) or discarded. Discarding ends the player's turn. The round concludes when all a player's cards are face-up.
