How to Play Callbreak:

Typically played by four players using a standard 52-card deck, Callbreak ranks cards from high to low: A-K-Q-J-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2. The game can be played over 3 or 5 rounds. To start, each player draws a card to determine the first dealer, with the lowest card initiating the shuffle and dealing clockwise. The player to the dealer's right leads the first trick. Any card can be led, but other players must follow suit; if unable to, they must trump with a spade if it beats any existing spades in the trick.

How to Win a Callbreak Game:

Victory in a Callbreak trick goes to the player with the highest card in the led suit, or the highest spade if spades are played. To win, a player must meet or exceed their called number of tricks. Success adds the called number to the player's score, with any extra tricks contributing an additional 0.1 points. Failure results in the called number being subtracted from the score. A round must be re-dealt if a player receives no spades or no face cards (J, Q, K, A).
