Introducing the Ayushman mobile app, an official application from the Government of India designed to revolutionize healthcare accessibility. The Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is a flagship initiative aimed at providing cashless secondary and tertiary care treatments at empanelled public and private hospitals. This scheme extends its coverage to over 10 crore poor and vulnerable beneficiary families across the nation.
The National Health Authority (NHA) serves as the apex body tasked with overseeing the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY. With the launch of the Ayushman app, beneficiaries now have the convenience of creating their "Ayushman card" directly through the app, enabling them to access free treatment up to INR 5 Lakhs.
