Our Talking Alphabet for Children and Toddlers is a lovingly crafted educational game designed for kids and their parents. I created this with the same care and attention I gave to teaching my own daughter. This game features multiple learning modes including letters, sounds, vowels, consonants, voiced and unvoiced sounds. It boasts a vibrant interface, colorful images, and professional voice acting by a Russian language teacher!
Learning the alphabet is crucial for young children as it helps them master letters and sounds swiftly, paving the way for early reading skills. Our game offers two voiceover options: one for sounds and another for letters in Russian.
Perfect for both children and toddlers, the ideal age to start learning the alphabet is between 4 and 6 years old. However, gifted children can begin as early as 3 years old, with the optimal age being 5, the year before they start school.
We recommend starting with vowels: A, O, U, Y, I, E, Yo, E, Yu, Ya (10 vowels). These are easier to pronounce and simpler for young learners to grasp. Initially, there are 6 basic vowel sounds: A, O, U, Y, I, E, followed by 4 vowel letters that combine two sounds: E = Y + O; E = Y + E; Yu = Y + U; Ya = Y + A. Vowels can also be categorized as stressed or unstressed.
Next, introduce consonants: B, V, G, D, ZH, Z, J, K, L, M, N, P, R, S, T, F, X, Ts, Ch, Sh, Shch (21 consonants), along with two auxiliary letters Ъ and Ь. The Russian alphabet consists of 33 letters in total.
